All We Can Say About the FMLA and Benefits in 30 Minutes
While the focus has been on the proliferation of state leave and disability laws (a topic that we’ll cover in a couple months), it’s important to take some time to reacquaint ourselves with the FMLA and how it impacts group health plans.
Topics covered will include who’s required to comply with the FMLA, which employees does the FMLA apply to, and what happens to an employee’s benefits while they’re out on FMLA and upon the expiration of their FMLA. Because we’re good at speed talking, we’ll also address some of the common FMLA administration pitfalls we see.
